Patented Chemistry

A first-of-its-kind corrosion inhibitor

Phalanx ARC–treated acidizing solution is visually and chemically unlike any prior-art inhibited acid on the market. This is not an incremental improvement — it is a fundamentally new class of corrosion inhibitor.

Patented Molecule
The composition and its method of production are both independently protected under patent, establishing a strong IP moat.
Patented Application
A specific patent covers use during acidizing while the perforating tool and wireline remain in place.
Patented Manufacturing
Required an entirely new registry number, confirming its novel chemical identity to regulators and operators.
How Phalanx ARC Works

Engineered geometry, tuned kinetics

A chemically engineered molecular structure, combined with precisely tuned physical chemistry, drives three characteristics that set Phalanx ARC apart from conventional inhibitors.

Geometric molecular architecture

Engineered geometry lets the molecule orient precisely on metal surfaces, maximizing coverage and bonding efficiency across substrates and acid concentrations.

Rapid adhesion

Adsorption kinetics are tuned so the protective hydrophobic film establishes fast — critical when downhole exposure time is short and conditions are harsh.

Uniform barrier, mixed metallurgy

A tenacious, uniform film forms across dissimilar metals at once — protecting tubulars, completion hardware and wireline components in a single treatment.

“

A phalanx is an ancient shield-wall formation — overlapping shields, no gaps in the line. It's a fitting namesake: at the molecular level, the chemistry forms the same kind of unbroken, overlapping barrier across every alloy it touches.

Lab-Verified Performance

Mixed-metallurgy protection, tested

Third-party testing confirms industry-leading corrosion protection across the most common tubular and completion alloys. Specimens emerged from the acid environment with zero pitting and weight-loss values well within API acceptance criteria.

Phalanx ARC's rapid adsorption onto the metal surface forms a tenacious hydrophobic barrier film — specimens emerged from aggressive conditions looking like new, with no measurable pitting on any alloy tested.

Logistics & Compatibility

304SS tanker compatibility — broadening your fleet

Phalanx ARC–treated solution is validated for standard 304SS tankers through both a 30-day continuous immersion test and a 30-day sequential exposure test at 130°F — conditions representative of long-haul transport and staging. By mitigating pitting corrosion on 304SS tank interiors while maintaining exceptional corrosion rates, Phalanx ARC eliminates the requirement for specialty tanker assets.

What this means operationally

Operators and service companies gain access to a significantly broader fleet, reducing scheduling constraints and transportation costs.

Test conditions

  • Temperature: 130°F
  • Duration: 30-day continuous exposure
  • Duration: 30-day sequential exposure
  • Substrate: 304 stainless steel
  • Result: No pitting; exceptional corrosion rate performance

Summary

Phalanx ARC™ — the new standard in acidizing corrosion inhibition

Patented in-place protection

The only corrosion inhibitor patented specifically for use while the perforating tool and wireline remain in place — no pulling the string before acidizing.

Mixed-metallurgy performance

Unrivaled protection across P-110, N-80, 316SS, 304SS and galvanized wireline — confirmed at high temperature and pressure with zero pitting.

Cost-effective & eco-friendly

Free of BTEX, Nonylphenol, DMF, arsenic, acetylenic alcohols, MEA and urea — a cleaner profile that reduces HSE liability and lowers total treatment cost.
